The base of every piece of Ergo Cookware has a steel core, which insulates and retains heat.
We recommend warming up the pan or pot on medium heat and then reduce to low when cooking. The insulated base will hold and distribute heat efficiently so it is recommended to start at a lower temperature and increase as required. When heating, ensure that oil, water or food materials are in the cookware. For cooking, only use low and medium heat. If high heat is required, it should only be momentary.
Another tip: Food left in the pot or pan will continue to cook for a short time when the heat is turned off.
Ergo cookware has ergonomic, low stress handles which have been specially designed to reduce wrist strain and the non-slip silicone coating provides extra grip in the hand to maximise control when cooking.
These were designed with the help of health processionals to ensure the handles provide the best experience possible and are sized to comfortably fit in the hand.
Before you use our new cookware, remember to remove all packaging, stickers and protective bags, and to wash each item in warm, soapy water. Once fully dry, your cookware is ready to use.
This cookware is safe to be washed in a domestic dishwasher on a regular basis. If cleaning by hand, use conventional, non-abrasive cleaning agents and a soft cleaning sponge or brush.
Deep Cleaning - If the non-stick performance declines it may be due to residue built up. A deep clean can help restore the non-stick performance. To help loosen the residue, soak the cookware in hot, soapy water overnight and thoroughly wash the surface the next morning.
We advise taking some preventative measures to reduce the need for deep cleans which will help keep your cookware bright and working at its full performance.
1. Refrain from storing food in the cookware after cooking for a prolonged time.
2. Do not leave foods or liquids with high salt concentrations in the cookware after cooking.
3. Clean cookware after cooking when cooled and refrain from leaving marks and stains on the body for an extended period of time
We recommend using silicone, wooden or plastic utensils with your cookware to maximise its life. Use of sharp or metal utensils can permanently damage the non-stick coating or cookware body.
This cookware is not suitable for oven use, microwaves or applications where open flames can reach the silicone handles or wrap around the body.
Yes! Ergo Cookware is suitable for gas, induction and electric cook tops.
Our sauce pans and stock pots have pouring lips and lids with inbuilt strainers. The pouring lip is opposite the handle which enables you to pour hot water away from your body safely.
We suggest stacking pots and pans with protective layers (like cloth or paper) in between, or use pot racks to hang them. Avoid nesting non-stick cookware without protection.
We know! The handle is different!
Ergo Cookware comes with a Feel It Guarantee where you can return your items within 30 days of the sale date for a full refund of the purchase price.
The first couple of uses, the cookware will feel different. But after 5 or 6 uses, your wrist will be thanking you, and if you go back to your old pots and pans, you will notice the difference.
Please read our refund policy & warranty for more information.
At Ergo Home it is important to us to not send cookware to landfill, so we donate all cookware which is suitable for use to community groups.
